Things that made me happy today:

Two great zoom calls with the best of friends. I look forward to them all week.

Max and I dashed in the Tom Thumb (groceries) to get lunch for him to take to work. He had to deliver a small “nature talk” about the pumpkins that were piled up in bins by the front door.

I have a prime location for a Beto sign so I put it up today. Around here, everyone has a rear entry garage, so most of the coming and going is via the alley. I live on a curve so the last several feet of my fence are visible for four or five houses — perfect sign location. I’m sure it will turn the neighborhood around!

The crepe myrtles have come back for another show. No wonder people in Dallas love them. They bloom for months and months in the hot summer weather.

I’d love to hear what made you happy today. Always.
