Things that made me happy today:

Max has been offered a job at North Haven Gardens, his first choice by far. Starts orientation tomorrow. More details then.

He and I took a quick trip to Sunset Bay on White Rock Lake. If not our favorite, it’s the easiest to get to from our side of town. The lake is back up to level, ducks and geese seemed happy to see us with our bird seed containers. Saw at least a dozen turtles from the little pier that’s there. All red sliders except for one who had distinct white squares on his shell that looked like a tile floor. And he was thicker than the red sliders.

Besides my patio purslane tossed greens tonight, I had a store-bought roaster chicken simmered for hours in my crock pot with a few veggies and some orzo. Very tasty.

These beautiful Noritake pieces and more will be posted on Facebook Marketplace tomorrow.

And I have seeds from this plant that blooms and grows spring through fall. I’ll put the name here when I remember, or someone reminds me.
