Things making me happy:

Cooler days. Even 80 is a relief. And, in the morning, downright cold-feeling when I raise the windows in the house!

A bobcat sitting on a corner when I ran an errand about 7 tonight. Gorgeous juvenile. Looked me straight in the eye, so I swung around for a pic. He popped down the storm drain. Funny thing is, that’s also where the coyotes dodge when confronted. I’m imagining an inter-species meeting below the street.

At last, I ordered new glasses at WalMart, a vendor my insurance company recognizes. They should be here in a few days. It took 40 minutes for the person there to “verify” my order by looking at the computer screen at the details we had entered on Friday. I can’t even imagine what she was looking at for that long. Can you? In any case, they will be on my nose soon.

A friend gave me a little bundle of Mississippi River maps from the 30s, north from New Orleans, intended for some collage work. Very cool images. I will post some here in the next few days.
