Five things that made me happy today:

1. I edged the front law for me and my duplex neighbor. He mows. I edge. Haven’t been able in a few weeks due to hand surgery. It went down fine. We’ll see what 45 minutes of gripping did to my hand muscles tomorrow!

2 Today was puzzle exchange day. Launa Kliever and her mom and Lorlee Bartos and I meet every several weeks to trade. I came home with four new ones, I think. Then, we are such nerds that we spend about 30 minutes in puzzle small talk. Don’t ask! It is fun to meet fans of your special interest.

3. I worked on my own today for a bit. Down to 40 or 50 pieces, probably.

4. Janis, a college sorority sister of mine was killed in a car accident a couple of weeks ago. Her memorial was today and I watched on line. Here’s the happy piece — we graduated from college 56 yeas ago. We still stay in touch. Janis was a major mover/shaker in that effort, always up for reunions, trips, card exchanges, etc. I’m more of an observer but my observations warm my heart. Friendships are worth it.

5. I finished binge watching Blown Away, Season 3. It’s a show I like — somewhat technical competition among ten glassblowers with one eliminated each week. Pretty weak plot (surprise, surprise) but some human interest, some beautiful work, etc. Thirty minutes. What’s not to like. (My hand is baking in the heating pad as I watch!)

And you? I love to hear what made you happy today. Keep going.
