Things that made me happy today:

Max had a great interview. His first official job interview. It went well. Afterwards, the manager told me separately that he was really impressed by how comfortable Max seemed talking to him and making conversation. The manager asked one of his supervisors to step into the office to talk to Max as well.

Max told me later that he thought it was all the hours on his full-body VR setup that made him so comfortable physically, having his whole body in view of the other person and just being present. That’s the first time I’ve ever heard that outcome attributed to VR, but, Go, Max!

Some quiet time spent on my puzzle. It is a hard one with little pieces and bright colors but small gradients from one piece to the next one. It is very relaxing.

Tomorrow we plant the purple datura, Lorlee Bartos. We have a Max-approved spot in some morning sun. There is a brick wall on one side, so it can’t expand in that direction. If I stay here long enough, it might make a whole bed in the front yard for itself!

Teagan, my oldest girl grandchild, is 18 today. Myra, her other grandma, and I will be taking her to register to vote later this week. I took Max earlier this summer, just after his 19th birthday. (Not sure why I waited!) And that is just fun for this grandmother.

And you? What made you happy today? I love to hear.

Keep going.
