Things making me happy lately:

Both Max and Ruby advanced one square on the DRIVING ALONE game board. Max got his driver license. Ruby got her learner permit. Hooray. Big Big deal for both of them. And grandma. (If you’re counting, 8 trips.)

Warm warm summerish weather. As May often is in Dallas, Texas. The silly flowers and the hibiscus tree planted by the errant tree trimmer are doing well even while looking a little silly in my ungroomed backyard. I’ll put a pic here.

Yogurt treats all around for above achievements. I think this is the three treats night this week. Big week.

Every two years or so, I get a maid service to come and once-over-quickly my downstairs. They came on Tuesday and did a great job. @Molly Maids of Plano, Rockwall, and Rowlett. I recommend.

Tomorrow, an artist friend comes to finish a trade we made — one of his pastel pieces for a box full of collage supplies. It’ll be fun.
