Things that made me happy today:

Five crows at this morning’s peanut breakfast feed. The blue jays also hearing me set out the peanuts and try to get in before the crows.

Fine and chilly weather today. Still okay for walking with a jacket. Chillier weather coming soon.

I bought two bundles of alstroemeria at the grocery store Sunday — one yellow and one still in buds. The buds have burst forth in a beautiful purply red. The blooms last forever. Best bang for the buck in cut flowers.

I bought some boots on line a couple of weeks ago. They came today. I don’t know what I was thinking but here they are. They are flat heeled and zip up the inside so they’re a nice shape. I hardly ever get shoes on line that fit, so that’s a win.
