Things that made me happy today:
Church, always. We have a new pastor on a one year contract. The congregation has weathered Covid with good graces and a LOT of work by the whole staff. Having a third Rev on board is blessed relief.
A trumpet for music today. The postlude was played as a duet with the organ playing second. The stop on our enormous organ is remarkable.
An early lunch followed with several of the Old Gang. In the noisy-est room ever at La Madeleine. Just too hard to have a conversation. Although I’m happy we’re together.
My Mother of Millions plant has sowed almost all her babies. Some of them may have blown off in the record-breaking wind storm we had this afternoon but I think she’s just moving on down the calendar.
I finished a really challenging puzzle this afternoon. During the storm. It was so quiet. I don’t remember hearing any thunder, so I was surprised to look out to see water sluicing off my roof and my lawn chairs blowing away. All is well now. At least in Plano.
And you? I’d love to hear what made you happy today.
Keep going.
