Things that made me happy today:
Church, always. TJ preached a powerful sermon.
Lunch with my bunch. We went to City Cafe on Lover’s Lane. We were the only people in the dining room for quite a while. The food is good and we’re pretty loud, so it’s good to be in a quiet-ish space.
Odd car trouble this morning. I couldn’t get Yella Bird out of the garage. The key wouldn’t move. The gear shift was locked. Mañin Soto gave me a ride to church. Turns out it’s a safety feature on Hondas — locks everything down if you want when you leave your car. Troubleshooting by YouTube did the unlock. I have no idea how I did the series of actions that locks it but now I know what to do next time.
A beautiful Texas fall day. It’s still 80 outside at 730 but rain is coming tomorrow. Says the weatherman.
A quick trip to the Amy Broach house to give Wyatt his bday gift, several boxes of pumpkin spice mini-cones from Trader Joe’s. It’s an annual pilgrimage.
And you? What made you happy today? Or any day? I love to hear about it.
Keep going.
