Things making me happy today:

Church. Always. We had a fall-out-of-your-seat flautist. (I just like to say it.) Helen Backburn. Just wow to the music. And a great sermon. This month is about Art and Inspiration. Today was Josephine Baker.

Brunch with some of my favorite people on the planet. We had about a dozen — and a birthday. @City Cafe on Lemmon. We had a birthday today and they whipped up an amazing cake, iced with whipped cream and strawberries. They are open again after renovation and we were welcomed like returning travelers. I found out they know our names. That’s sweet.

I got in a nap in my big easy chair this afternoon. I do like an afternoon nap.

Summer indoor soccer starts tonight. Ruby is ready to go. Indoors is so fast and furious. Ruby can practice some night time driving. Yikes!!
