Things that made me happy today:

Church. We celebrated Mardi Gras today with the jazz band and a really good sermon on Joy by Beth Dana.

Brunch after with the “regulars.” About 12 of us today. A big crowd and I left early for my Institutions class, on line, in an empty office at church. (Too long a drive to get home in time and enjoy brunch.)

Ruby came over to go through my boxes and boxes of buttons looking for beads. She’s making some bracelets and bookmarks for the women’s conference as a vendor in a couple of weeks. I think that’s a first for her.

L.o.n.g nap. Must have needed it.

We lived in rent houses for most of my growing up years (as an Army dependent) and my mother always said you should plant flowers like you were going to live there forever. I try to practice that too, including a tree at every house. Someone before me planted these hyacinths that appear each spring.

You? I’d love to hear what made you happy today. Or any day.

Keep going.
