Five things that made me happy today:

1. The crows have some new sentences. Three caws means, Get out here, lady, with those peanuts. Now. Four caws means, The peanuts are out but that big lady is still walking around the yard. Call the other guys but wait a minute.

2. I took Max with me on some errands today, after school. He makes for a pretty interesting conversation. He knows the models of all the cars I’ve owned and has researched how much they might be worth on today’s market. Of course, if I had a 1965 British green mustang that still ran well, I might sell it for the big bucks and retire for real.

3. Ruby had a rip roaring night at Mathnasium. She really responds to one-on-one instruction.

4. The Yellow Car had a good work out today. It is fun to drive and it’s so clean. I’m a little smug about it.

5. The Soto family has a couple of folding chairs that are usually out front under the trees. When I came back to the house one time today, the two bengals were sitting up in the chairs, making a cute and welcoming picture.
