Five things that made me happy today:
1. My morning appointment cancelled at the last minute — sick, old cat needs to go to the vet. Not my cat. Hers. A surprising three hours with lots to do but no deadlines!
2. Puzzle time in the front room with the roaring morning sunshine. One of my favorite places to be.
3. A friend who works at Trader Joe’s clued me in to the arrival of pumpkin spice mini-cones, a fall tradition for me. Although they’re often out of them by the time I think. However, thanks to FB and Memories, I remembered this year. Yes. Four boxes, stored in the freezer for Wyatt’s birthday next month. He’s the pumpkin kid.
4. I just had great conversations with Max and Ruby (separately) this afternoon. I can’t tell you even the topics, but they were adult-funny, smart, responsible. You know, one of those times when you think, This kid is going to be okay!
5. I’m going to go in the front room now and read a magazine I bought at the grocery store in anticipation of spending some time this morning getting some testing done (for another aging project I’m participating in). I thought I would have little fits and starts of time to wait for my tester person to do something. But, no. So I get to read a bit.
I’d love to hear what made you happy today.
Keep going.
