Things that made me happy today:

Ruby and I went to the dollar store to shop for Max’s birthday. She is quite fun to shop with. We found so many (in)appropriate gifts for his twentieth birthday next week.

We also dropped in at her friend Sophie’s new job, a tea place, and had some tea but it wasn’t a favorite.

Below see my two prescriptions for my cataract surgery this week. You can see the difference GoodRX did, even better than my medicare which was about $150. What a racket — the whole prescription thing. (If you don’t have GoodRX, get it. It’s free, optional, and can save you a lot of $$. It doesn’t mess with your insurance. It has saved me hundreds of dollars in ten years or so.)

Homemade chicken soup for dinner, the last of the roast chicken I bought about a week ago. Accompanied by pan toast with Elizabeth Sutherland’s homemade Lemon Lime Marmalade Yum.

Bingeing on 24 Hours in A & E still. We’re up to episode number 32, or so. Not sure when it’s going to end but it’s engaging.
