Things making me happy today:

The sun was out almost all day and it warmed up to mid-ups, I think.

Girls’ soccer this afternoon. An exciting tie game. They’re all in high school and have been playing city soccer for 5 or 6 years. Ruby’s team doesn’t practice because they can’t find a night/time when everyone can come. So they just show up and play really hard. Both teams are getting shove-y. One of theirs got a penalty card and one of ours got thrown out of the game for shoving back and talking rudely to the ref. Yep. They’re learning how to play grown-up soccer.

Lots of arting yesterday and today. Our member show is on the 23rd. First Unitarian Church of Dallas, 9 to 1. All are welcome. A dozen plus artists in a very wide range of media, 2D and 3D art.

Fascinating reading for a new book club I just joined. The Dawn of Everything. Probably more new ideas and unfamiliar place names and words than anything I’ve read in a really really long time. Below is just one chapter. I just went to Half Price Books (Plano) and bought the book so I can mark it up. It’s that kind of read.

How I stay young, tip #72.

Tomorrow is Easter, which I don’t celebrate, but I usually like the music and the sermon is usually a hum dinger. Then brunch with my pals — our group has doubled or tripled since I got invited. It must be my magnetic self.

I’d love to hear what’s making you happy.

Keep going.
