5 things that made me happy today:

1. I threw an over ripe pear out on the patio this morning. Within a couple of minutes one of my resident squirrels had it in the seat of a chair, munching on it just like a kid. I don’t see any trace of it this evening. He must have eaten every bite!

2. Gkids and I fixed pancakes from a mix for a late late breakfast. It’s fun cooking and kibbitzing with them in the kitchen.

3. Turns out Max has a fairly encyclopedic knowledge of meteorology. During the storms this afternoon, we kept a narrated lookout from the ground. He told me, I’m interested because it impacts the plants, right? Of course.

4. Ruby has a Barbie doll named Bob. I have never inquired about the gender, after all, the doll is always there when we are talking and that would be rude. This afternoon, I said, So, what are their pronouns? Without missing a beat, she said, They and them. Girl knows some things.

5. Cooked and enjoyed a great dinner of baked salmon and blanched green beans. Family recipe calls for Hoisin sauce on the salmon. Sweet and yummy.

How about you? What made you happy today? I love reading your lists.

Keep going!
