Five things that made me happy today:

1. Pretty easy-going Friday. Tasks around the house done. A bit of a nap.

2.A new puzzle. It’s a photograph so the solid black border will be the last to assemble instead of the first.

3. Dozens of Painted Ladies and Monarchs in the front yard at the Soto house when Max and I pulled up after school. We were so excited, I left the motor running and he left the car door open while we investigated. I think my photo is a Monarch but I’m sure someone who knows will tell me!

4. My first weekend in a long time without a class or a meeting or a family trip. So I’m planning some arty stuff around the house. I’ll do pictures.

5. Planning a little bit of plant shopping tomorrow with Max. He’s quite knowledgeable and a good companion.
