Five things that made me happy today:

1. The monarchs are back in town. Almost everywhere I go, there are a few monarchs floating around. Especially near colorful blooms. When my son Eric Loehr was born on October 17, it was one of the biggest years in recent history. There were clouds of monarchs here and there. Not that many this year, but they are plentiful.

2. It’s another beautiful, clear, balmy fall day in Dallas. Probably 85 this afternoon but a cool mornin and it starts to feel like fall is coming.

3. I saw Baby Thea this morning and she has learned something about continuity of physical objects. If she’s looking over her right shoulder and something moves, she knows to twist around and look over her left shoulder. The human brain is a wonder.

4. I found a song I heard on the internet over the weekend in my music reserves. It was a favorite and all I could remember was the tune. I finally remembered more details this afternoon and about five minutes of looking had me find it. I feel so accomplished. I’m not particularly good at remembering enough music to find something like that. 1992 copyright. What a memory I have!!

5. Early off line to read some. My way to calm down after a busy day.

I’d love to hear what made you happy today. Or any day, really.

Keep going.
