Things that made me happy today:

Early to rise gives one time for a morning nap in the sun in my big easy chair in the front room. Yes.

Watching Mad Men again. I can bake my right hand in the heating pad and work on it, satisfying my need to DO something while I’m watching video. (The surgery is healing nicely.)

Some laundry. Some work in the yard. Some house cleaning. What’s not to like about a bonus holiday?

Made some chicken orzo in the crock pot during the day but wasn’t hungry at dinner time. It’ll keep for tomorrow. Two happy leftover days!

My “little” Mexican petunias are blooming that are transplanted from my neighbor. The “big” Mexican petunias are growing like crazy in a bucket, waiting for cooler days to stick in the ground. I have the perfect spot next to the datura for a native display.
