Things that made me happy today:
I try to do an anonymous good deed every day. I did one early this morning which I won’t tell the details because I discovered something while doing it. The thing itself looked pretty simple and so I did it but the person who received it kept talking and talking and I realized that the good deed for them was actually in the talking and talking that we did. They waylaid me for 5 minutes or so when I really intended just to see if I could help or not and leave the scene. That was a good lesson for me.
Ruby worked on a science project today that involved making a booklet with a lot of facts, which she had to look up and assemble, plus some art work. Quite well done.
Max and I had quite a conversation about banking and money. It started this morning before work and continued when he got home. Earning a salary every week has really shifted his whole perspective about money. Duh, MarySue.
Beautiful, cool-ish day. A visit from a friend this afternoon, a haircut for Ruby with Amanda Jon Lundquist, who really gives great haircut, a quick trip for groceries. And the crows are back.
