Things that made me happy today:

Got a new printer to replace one that was jamming. It was near the end of its expected lifespan. Ordered on line. $50. Picked up at the nearest store. Brought it home in a box. Plugged it in. — I remember the olden days.

Lunch with friends at City Cafe again. The place was overrun with Highland Park ladies and their off spring. First Monday after school is out. Very different from our Sunday brunch where we have the place mostly to ourselves.

My mini magnolia is still blooming out front. The blooms are full size on a tree that’s about four feet tall. Such a sweet aroma.

And in the back, the hibiscus that the tree man planted is putting out blooms every day.
