Five things that made me happy today:

1. A group of us, parents who have lost a child, participate in a zoom call once a month. I am happy that there is such a group. I am happy that we have that call. It is very grounding.

2. An unexpected heart-to-heart today with a long time friend when I dropped something off at her house. Thank heavens for friends.

3. A favorite FB post from years past:

Priceless, off-hand remarks winner: Working on grandkids’ homework, speculating about if I will still need to supply an eraser when the youngest is in college. (Will I still be around? How old will I be, anyway?)

After all the math is done, the middle child says, Don’t worry, grandma, every time we do homework for the rest of our lives, your spirit will be there, even if you aren’t.

4. More cedar wax wings wheeling around. I have yet to see a tree full of them. So beautiful.

5.My giant jar of jelly beans came today. Some things are worth ordering on line.
