Five things that made me happy today:

1. Ruby and I went shopping at @Daiso in Plano. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss. I bought some cooking tongs for $6. They were offered for $20 at Kroger Thursday.

2. My next door neighbor’s daughter is moving to her own place this weekend. She’s in her 20s, so it’s not unexpected. I donated some of my shipping boxes to their effort. Smaller boxes are great when you’re moving yourself.

3. A pleasant neighborhood walk about sundown. Finally opened up my phone app so I can record a mile.

4. The neighborhood Red Bellied Woodpecker was at work. Contrary to his name, he does not have a red belly.

5. Some really slow-paced work on the current puzzle this morning. Good light makes a lot of difference.
