Five things that made me happy today:

1. Max and I took a field trip this morning to find a part for their garbage disposal. We ended up ordering on line.

2. Max spied an old Honda Civic while we were driving and we returned for pictures. Although the outside was really rusty, the interior was pretty plush-y with soft tangerine upholstery. Really.

3. On the way home, we stopped at Christina’s Nursery, a favorite plant source for our family. He bought some foxglove that was already blooming to add to half a dozen that he planted last year. I got some Heuchera, a coppery perennial that I’ve never tried for a shady spot in my back yard. It’s very satisfying to drive home with my way back filled with healthy looking plants.

4. Worked out our weekend schedule of soccer, appointments, events, etc with the Sotos. Kids don’t drive yet, so sometimes we need a dispatcher to keep track of it all!

5. Getting off line now (before 7) to catch some sun and start my weekend.
