Five things that made me happy today:

1. It’s Spring Break for Max and Ruby, but who’s looking at the calendar?

2. We visited Shades of Green nursery, way up north on Coit Road. Big place, so many plants. Several greenhouses. They had been hit hard by frosty weather but trucks were unloading fresh plants while we were there. Got some things for my sunny front yard and one big basket for shade on the porch. Max got some specimen plants too.

3. We had a Wendy’s picnic at Big Lake in Plano. That is the name. It’s not very Big, though.

4. In honor of the first day of Daylight Saving Time, I got in a substantial nap.

5. My cool kitchen timer came today. We set the timers for 20 minutes each morning and tear into morning chores. It is Spring Break, so we’ll do 15 minutes tomorrow, and then call it a week!
