Five things that made me happy today:

1. A few episodes of Hoarders over the last few days (while I put the heating pad on my banged up knee, don’t you know?) inspired some random clean up today — straight to the trash. Because I’m not going to fix it or sell it. Really truly.

2. Doing my part to stamp out privet — drastically trimming back the 8' tall privet outside a window in my house. Hoping to get it small enough, with the tools I have, to demolish it come fall. A few branches a day.

3. I believe I have MacGyvered a way to keep the orange cat OUT of my kitchen. Took forever to find pool noodles in stock. A pool noodle with about an inch trimmed off fits the upper edge of my kitchen window, preventing said cat from shimmying down and through the cat door. I believe. Time will tell.

4. And that’s just part of my happy-making list for today.

5. Such a busy and productive woman also got in a short nap, making up for yesterday’s 3 am rising to run the boys to the airport!
