Things that made me happy today:

It’s my birthday. It’s a big prime number, as my son, Eric Loehr, pointed out. I’m happy that it’s a big number.

Lunch with a friend. Very yummy. at Bella Green Restaurant in Plano. Excellent philosophy, good food, good service, friendly people, wonderful conversation.

Dinner with family at Rodeo Goat Plano — and, honestly, we have had much better food there. New cook?

Dozens and dozens of birthday greetings. I’m not going to get through them tonight because I’m savoring every one. And my fundraiser for Unlocking Futures exceeded my $500 goal.

On the nature front, cedar waxwings zipping around the neighborhood, several fruit trees have already started blooming, the starlings and grackles are sooooo thick at an intersection I’ve happened through at sundown two or three times this week. Spring is springing.
