Five things that made me happy today:

1. A red tail hawk flying over the neighborhood made a perfect little starboard roll and showed me his perfect red tail.

2. I had two or three really amazing phone calls today with various offices and boy, oh, boy ere the people on the other end present. Or maybe I was just present. In any case, the calls were so satisfying, I felt really heard, and got what I wanted. Amazing.

3. Chilly and wet this afternoon. Perfect for watching the last of Inventing Anna. It turns out that it is a page turner. Or whatever the video version of that is. Excellent viewing on Netflix now. Warning: you’ll probably get hooked.

4. Eggs and sausage for dinner. Perfect for chilly and wet evening.

5. Ruby got per cent at Mathnasium yesterday. It was a hump that she had been working on for quite a while. And now, just like that, she’s on the other side of the hump. Time to finish plans for her Varsity Math team jacket.
