Five things that made me happy today:

1. About thirty or forty cedar wax wings scuttling around the neighborhood. I didn’t see them roost but they’re easy to identify in flight. Always a harbinger of warmer weather, although they might be a little confused this year.

2. Sun. Again. All day.

3. More admin. But the doing of it makes me feel so accomplished. It’s like ironing, though. It just piles up again!

4. Nails. Something I do for me about once a month. My nail lady Ann and her daughter also had covid since the last time I saw her. Similar symptoms to mine.

5. And, in the shopping center parking lot, my friend with the hijab who is the parking lady. She recognizes and remembers my yellow car. We’ve talked a few times and I always look for her. Sometimes I park next to her (how I met her the first time, returning to my car) but today we had to wave wildly across the lot. Seeing her makes me smile.
