Five things that made me happy today:

1. Today is Mañin Soto’s birthday.

2. We started with a trip to White Rock Lake to see if we could find the eagles. We failed at that but had a great if foggy outing.

3. The pelican troup was just waking up and performing their morning toilet. They have moved in closer to shore and are several yards away from the little pier at Sunset Bay.

3. The coots followed us over for lots of bird seed.

4. Ms. Gray Goose waddled in (the water must be 3 or 4" deep for yards from shore) and ate out of Ruby’s hand.

5. White Rock Lake makes me happy. I loved living closer.
