Five things that made me happy today:

1–4. Max had a breakthrough in his art class. They were drawing cartoon figures and he just burst into a much simpler style. He was so excited that he came home and did several more figures. Below is his usual detailed pen-and-ink method and today’s first straight-ahead fox, done in pencils. What a difference. He hasn’t “made art” in quite a while. Yay, Max. Yay, Aaron, his art teacher.

5. Rain storms and spectacular clouds today. It’s a cold wave. 73 at 8 pm.
