Five things that made me happy today:

1. I remembered to decant part of the full bottle of laundry detergent before I sank the pump into the new jar and forced out half a cup of soapy liquid.

2. A really good sermon by Beth Dana this morning and some ethereal flute playing by Ebonee Thomas. Plus a new slide show after the service of our members in community.

3. A great beginning of the third series from Bert Speelpenning, a Landmark friend of many many years who teaches many things, including a unique approach to changing institutions. I still have many things I want to do in life.

4. Puttering around the yard on a mild and sunny Sunday. Pulling weeds, washing off the red lawn chairs that stay on my front lawn and will one day again be filled with neighbors, watering the brand new red bud saplings.

5.Working on that puzzle again today and listening to classical music (or the mockingbird), contemplating how seeing through lenses other than my own is a practice. And, like any practice, doing it makes one more proficient.

I’d love to hear what made you happy. Any time.

Keep going.
