Five things that made me happy today:

1. Some really stormy, noisy rain. My yard can use it.

2. I was outside at the beginning of one rain storm, and I saw the rain approach across the street and on the side walk. I know there’s always an edge to the rain, right? Somewhere? But it’s always a little surprise to see it.

3. Four squirrels on my patio this morning, nuzzling through the bird food. I think they like the sunflower seeds. I know they like the peanuts. One brave soul waited on the fence for a couple of seconds while I finished putting peanuts on top, then he hustled past me and took some.

4. Two bunnies on the patio at the same time. It was Red Rabbit and a smaller rabbit that I think is her kit, now nearly grown. His/her pic is below. He was 4 or 5 inches long the in the last photo.

5. Max and Ruby are kind of at work on their badges. Friday is generally a day off from school, so I didn’t push.
